Our Mission
Predator Free Pāuanui is a community-led conservation initiative working to protect and restore native wildlife on the Coromandel. By removing introduced predators — stoats, rats, and possums — from our local bush, we give native birds like the tūī, kererū, and kiwi the chance to thrive again. Every resident, visitor, and business partner plays a role in this kaupapa (plan/initiative).

Trap Network Support
Puka Park has sponsored traps, and allows us to maintain a network of traps in their native bush, which form the boundary of our protected area in Pāuanui. This is a key conservation area in the Predator Free Pāuanui project.

By connecting guests like you with our project, Puka Park amplifies our message and helps grow the community of people who care about Pāuanui's native wildlife.
Recording Sightings
Staff and guests from Puka Park can help our volunteer effort by recording sightings of predators or native birds, including kiwi.
